Daily rewards & calendar
This page covers the small things: the ones that take five seconds each, are worth taking every single day, and are therefore the ones people actually miss.
The daily claims
| Setting | Default | What it claims |
|---|---|---|
auto_claim_rewards | on | Every daily reward the game offers. |
auto_calendar | on | The daily calendar reward, as soon as its cooldown is up. |
collect_advent_calendar | The advent calendar, in season. | |
open_reward_mail | Reward mail in the inbox. | |
open_task_rewards | Completed daily and weekly task rewards. | |
auto_clear_inbox | on | Keep the inbox from filling up. |
calendar_collect_type decides what to prefer when the calendar offers a choice.
The wheel of fortune
auto_lucky_turn is on, and the caps are the part worth setting.
| Setting | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
max_lucky_turns_per_day | 1 | Spins a day. The free one, in other words. |
max_lucky_turns_per_day_event | 40 | The separate cap used while a wheel event is running, when the game raises the daily limit from 20 to 40. 0 means use the normal cap. |
auto_lucky_turn_for_mush | off | Buy extra spins with mushrooms. |
The default is deliberately one spin: the free one costs nothing, and everything past it costs a lucky coin or a mushroom, which is a decision rather than a default.
The dice game
auto_dice_game is on and plays the remaining free games each day.
dice_game_max_trycaps the attempts.dice_game_prioritize_souls_epicis on, and prefers the soul and epic prizes over the rest.
The toilet
auto_toilet is on. The toilet trades items for aura progress, and the settings are about which items go in.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
toilet_prefer_gems | Prefer gem-bearing items. |
toilet_sell / toilet_flush / toilet_flush_sell | Which of the three actions to take. |
toilet_sell_epic_after_23 | Hold an epic back until late in the day before selling it. |
toilet_wait_non_gem_until_23 | Hold non-gem items until late in the day, in case something better turns up. |
The two "after 23" settings exist because the toilet is a daily allowance: an item put in at nine in the morning is an item you cannot replace with a better drop at eight in the evening.
The mount
auto_mount is on and never lets the mount lapse, which matters because the speed bonus applies to every quest you run.
mount_type picks which. use_mushrooms_mount is off by default: with it off the bot only ever buys the silver mounts, Cow and Horse, and never spends mushrooms on a mount even if mount_type names one that costs them. The Tiger costs one mushroom and the Dragon twenty-five, and real money must be an explicit choice.
auto_mount_buy_lower allows falling back to a cheaper mount rather than going without.
Gems
Gem handling is class-aware rather than "grab whatever is closest".
- The fortress gem mine is searched the moment it is free.
- Valuation runs black and legendary gems first, then your main attribute, then constitution and luck, then off-stats last.
- Empty sockets are filled first. A socketed gem is only replaced when a genuinely better one is available, so a good black gem is never overwritten by a mediocre one.
- Gems are never destroyed. When you replace an item, the old gem is pulled out at the forge first, paid in resources rather than mushrooms, and moved over.
That last point depends on the blacksmith reserves. See Blacksmith, witch & enchanting.
Coupon codes
Two sources, one store.
From your mail. A code sent by a guild member or a friend is detected from the message subject and redeemed. Every code is only ever attempted once, so nothing gets spammed.
From the public code lists. auto_coupon_crawl is on, and every few hours it fetches the publicly listed Shakes & Fidget codes from a handful of code-list sites and redeems the ones this character has not tried yet.
This is the one part of the app that contacts a third party
Redemption only. It never spends mushrooms or any other currency. If you would rather the app never contacted an outside site at all, turn auto_coupon_crawl off, and codes from your mail still work.
Automatic updates
On launch and every few hours the app checks for a new version. When one is available you get an Update available prompt, and you can update and restart or defer.
- Every build is signed with the same key, and the updater verifies the signature before installing, so a tampered download cannot become an update.
- Your accounts, bot configuration and settings are preserved across updates.
- The version the updater installs is the same one on mercysf.app/downloads.
